"Parents were amazed at the focus and excitement (and even sometimes grace) that Jen created in our students.  She is an exceptional teacher.  She brought out the best in each child.  I cannot wait for her to return to our school next year."

John P. McEneny, Drama Teacher, William Alexander Middle School, NYC / Artistic Director, Piper Theatre Productions

Classes

Jen teaches group as well as private classes for both children & adults, and tailors lessons to each individual's own experience, skill level, and goals.  With focus and the right teacher, anyone can learn to juggle.

A study in the journal Nature reported that individuals who learned to juggle showed "a transient and selective structural change in brain areas that are associated with the processing and storage of complex visual motion."  Aren't you ready to spend some energy stimulating those brain cells and getting smarter?!  Turn off the television sets and send your kids to juggling class!

A great combination of mental and physical activity for all ages, juggling is athletic as well as artistic, and can be done individually or in a group.  Learning to juggle will improve your:

  hand-eye coordination

  focus & concentration

  self-confidence

  artistic performance

  teamwork & cooperation

  sense of rhythm

  body awareness & control

  of movement

  stamina & physical fitness

  discipline through practice

The process of learning to juggle, of looking at a pattern to see what isn't working and then figuring out how to fix it, can only improve your problem-solving skills.  Transferring that information from your brain to your body is intense, sometimes frustrating exercise, but so delightfully satisfying when accomplished!  Once mastered, juggling can actually become a calming and meditative tool that can serve as a great break in the daily routine, allowing one to return to work or study feeling refreshed and more productive.

Jen now offers unique classes for children with a broad circus & performance emphasis.  Drawing on her backgrounds in dance, visual art, & engineering, along with juggling performance and time spent with some crazy circus friends, Jen combines elements of movement, improvisation, clowning, magic, art, and prop & set design, while teaching juggling and balancing skills with a variety of different objects.  Classes culminate in a circus performance for family & friends.

For advanced students, Jen can provide individualized guidance with practice, performance, choreography, and act development.
